Atkins

The Atkins Diet was published in 1972 in the United States. In 1985, its author Dr. Atkins was recognized in his country a "man of the year." After 28 years, after his death, fans learned that he weighed 117 kg with height 180 cm and had a serious heart problems.

The principle of the Atkins diet. The first 2 weeks of Atkins calls "reduction phase". At this time the need to reduce carbohydrates to 20 grams per day (for comparison: one apple - 15 g carbohydrate). Body begins to produce energy is not of the usual carbohydrates, fats and some proteins, resulting in people losing weight rapidly (minus 5.10 kg for the first two weeks - is quite real!). Later, you can enter from 30 to 100 grams of carbohydrates per day (remember: the official medicine believes that for the normal life requires 300-400 g of these macronutrients).

So what can you eat? Unlimited - any meat, poultry, besides the fatter. So much the better, because it is fat - our main "fuel". Eggs and seafood are also welcome. Vegetables are allowed only leafy greens, cucumbers, cabbage and various kinds of onions, mushrooms alongside them, and olives. But the fruit. Cereals, pasta, bread - a taboo.
